I am presently taking Mag64 DR Magnesium Tablets at the rate of 4 per day. Should I continue to take this medication considering my lab results as indicated above?
1. If I continue, what additional harm, if any, can I cause to myself?
2. If I stop, what hame can I do to myself?
Thank you for your interest and concern.
In #2 above the word should be "harm" not hame as written.
Also, can I forward my lab results of January 07, 2015 via fax or e-mail? Would this information be helpful to you in your conclusion?
Thank you!
Magnesium blood level is needed.
Detailed Answer:
Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Your kappa/lambda ratio and free kappa light chain levels are high and that points towards Myeloma Multiple diagnosis.
Magnesium is used with benefits of improving neuropathy and improving bone calcification in this condition.
Risks of using magnesium are related to hypermagnesemia ( high magnesium blood levels) and include respiratory and cardiac complications ( impaired breathing, arythmias), hypotension, weakness, hypocalcemia.
A magnesium blood level is needed periodically to adjust the dosage and prevent complications.
If stopped then bone calcification may be affected.
You can upload tests results in order to have a better insight of the condition.
Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.
