Brief Answer:
As below:

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query.

1. If you have had an incomplete removal of the tonsil in child hood, then this may be a recurrence of normal lymphoid tissue.

2. The other possibility is a tumor such as a lymphoma or a squamous cell carcinoma.

3. Get a excisional biopsy done to confirm the tissue diagnosis.

4. Treatment and prognosis will depend upon the histopathological diagnosis.

I hope that I have answered your queries. If you have any further questions, I will be available to answer them.

Regards.
