Brief Answer:
Jaw cyst and consider Specialist opinion

Detailed Answer:
Dear
Thanks for contacting Ayurveda with your child health concern.

1. does cyst contain fluid- semi solid or gas filled substance? i.e any examination by general physician, Dentist or surgeon [biopsy]??
2. any chronic inflammatory condition or history of injury/infection?
3. any degree of discomfort caused?
4. Treatment will depend on factors, like location-size-type of cyst, thus prior to any medical solution seek and expert opinion around your locality and if he/she is of the opinion that the cyst is benign [not harmful] then preventive/ prophylactic aspect can be discussed further.

A. since bones of the jaws, the mandible and maxilla, are the bones with the highest prevalence of cysts in the human body, could be the reason for it.
B. It could be possible occlusion resulting in relapse after stoppage of antibiotics.
C. get an ENT appointment to rule out Tonsillitis/adenoids.
D. Tests will depend upon relevant Examination and consultation
E. Children with poor Immunity/sinus problem or living in polluted city are more prone to lymph node enlargement/infection.
F. Pain in ear can be probably due to blockage.

Do revert back with your concerns.

hanks for the details, one more point here i would like to have your opinion here is-:

If my son does not start the treatment for this ganth which is small now [and which is under his lower jaw not exactly below the ear] then this ganth will grow in size and there after pain will start even touching on it and thereafter fever/cough will start so what is the reason for it provide details around it please. He had undergone the following treatment last time for 5 days after examined by pediatrician:

mefkind p---7.5 ml 3 times daily
moxclav 228.5---3 times daily

Therefore this time i need your advice on line of treatment.

Brief Answer:
Detail & Advice

Detailed Answer:
Dear
Thanks for reverting back.

1. Since unattended cyst is associated with 'inflammation' thus if treatment is not started/initiated it will lead to signs of inflammation along with physiological response from body, i.e.
. Tenderness: pain on touch
. Fever
. Cough

PS. an ENT care and Pediatric Examination is essential for treatment options.

2. Mefkind as far as my knowledge is concerned, is contraindicated and not recommended in children as it may cause gastritis/renal problem in long run. give simple paracetamol.

Brief Answer:
Medicines to be started with necessary examination

Detailed Answer:
Dear
Thanks for reverting back

1. Since prior to opting for alternate system of medicine, I usually cancel out any associated pathology/illness with relevant examination and investigation, thus same is expected from your side.

2. I will not prescribe any internal medication but externally you can:
. Add little turmeric powder on aloe vera leaf after cutting it. heat and apply on cyst. OR
. use of dashang lepa after fomentation of cyst [morning/evening]
