Question : hi. I've found a large lump on the left side of my neck that i am sure wasn't there a few weeks ago. it moves up and then back down when i swallow. I have also been getting raised rashes all over my body for month's that ease with antihistamines. I started weight training a few month's ago as well. Not sure of all conected. I've seen a doctor here in Italy who says i have hypersensitivity in the skin and has given me vitamin c and d3 to take morning and night for one month. he looked in my throat but didn't bother to feel it.

Brief Answer:
Thyroid nodule is commonest cause

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history and understood your concerns.
Any lump that moves on swallowing is usually connected to the trachea, the commonest cause being a thyroid nodule as per the history you have provided.
Hence I would advise you the following:
Consult your Doctor again and get the following investigations done:
Tests of blood, particularly Free T3, Free T4 and TSH.
Ultrasonography of the neck and FNAC will help to get the proper diagnosis hence you can be referred to a particular specialist.
As for the skin rash/allergy, the exact cause can be found out by your and the family members by noticing the factors in air, at home in foods and beverages that is causing the problem and continue antihistamine and get a prescription for steroid in tapering dosages if required.
Continue the medications as already advised.
Please get the investigations as advised and give me the followup and feedback.
