                                    Brief Answer:
Not to worry, but have to be watchful.
Detailed Answer:
Hi ! Good to listen from you so soon.
Even though he might have appeared normal after the fall from the swing, possibly he could have landed on his ribs, and a small hematoma which could feel to be hard if very tense, might have formed. The boy might not be that aware of the problem. Anyway it is good that he is ok after the fall and is active. However, I would advise you not to worry about it, but be watchful. In case of the hematoma, it will resolve of its own in a few days. If it does not or the size increases, then you might have to take him to the ER of a nearby hospital for a physical examination and related investigations for a diagnosis and further management.
I hope this information would help you in discussing with your family physician/treating doctor in further management of this problem. Please do not hesitate to ask in case of any further doubts.
Wishing your boy an early recovery. Dr Shareef.
