Question : I just got off of a cruise ship and I think I was bitten by a bug just under my lip and now I have a lump under my chin that is very tender?

Detailed Answer:
Dear Ms, I have gone through your question and I understand your concerns.

This lump could either be an allergic reaction to the bug bite or it could be a lymph node reaction to the bug bite. To treat both you should take an anti-inflammatory as Diclofenac twice daily for next 2-3 days and an antihistaminic as Cetirizine 10mg once daily.

If you develop a disseminated rash or numbness of arms or legs then you should get tested for Lyme disease which is also caused by a bug bite...
