Brief Answer:
This is bronchitis.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I can understand your concern.
I have gone through the history you have given.
This PFT report is suggestive of obstructive defect, this suggests bronchitis.
This is mostly due to your smoking habit.
If you don't have any symptoms, no need to worry.
Get done regularly PFT every 1 year. If values are declining on serial PFT then you will need inhaled bronchodilators and inhaled corticosteroid.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health.
Thanks.

I have a few symptoms and have alot of sinus problems. My lung xray was ok. If bronchitis, wouldn't it show something on my xray. My doctor is doing a cat scan on my lungs for a nodule to evaluate it. Would he be able to determine if bronchitis. Im really scared it is COPD. Thank you!
Also this was answered by another doctor on this site that suggested it may be COPD.
Brief Answer:
COPD should have progressive symptoms.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I can understand your concern.
I don't think you are having COPD. Because COPD patient will have persistent symptoms.
Since you don't have any copd symptoms, just only on the basis of PFT, it is not COPD.
COPD should have chronic symptoms with PFT abnormality.
Usually chest x ray is normal in bronchitis.
Even CT is mostly normal.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
