Question : I have the sensation of food/pills stuck in my throat. No blockage or trouble breathing or swallowing. Very very annoying, Constantly swallowing and?or eating to try to clear.

                                    Brief Answer:
Most likely due to pharyngitis or esophagitis.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Your problem can be most likely due to pharyngitis or esophagitis. Acid reflux can be the reason for this. In such case taking proton pump inhibitors like esomeprazole and motility enhancers like domperidone for 2 to 4 weeks will be helpful. Esomeprazole is available as over the counter in brands like Nexium.
Avoid alcohol, smoking hot fluids and carbonated drinks. Spicy foods also should be avoided as well. Chewing throat lozenges will be soothing. Taking chewable vitamin C will be helpful to recover earlier also.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.

Thanks. Although I'm not aware of acid reflux it makes sense. Will follow your advice
