Question : I have a lump on back of neck and it is starting to cause pain when turning my head.
Brief Answer:
It could be Lipoma or Sebaceous cyst.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Swelling on back of the neck could a Lipoma, arising from fat tissue or Sebaceous cyst.
If the swelling is large,I prefer an FNAC (Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology )for a clue.
If it is small,I remove the entire swelling under Local anaesthesia and send it for histopathological examination (Biopsy ).Exact diagnosis will be confirmed.
Nothing to worry.
Please consult a General surgeon, get examined clinically and proceed accordingly.
Hope I answered your query. If you have any questions, I. will clarify further
Wish you good health.
