What Does A Painful Pimple On Abdomen Indicate?

It is a hair follicle infection over the skin
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX
Thanks for writing in to us.
I have read through your query in detail.
The picture shows the presence of a pimple on the skin of abdomen. It is on the surface and due to a superficial infection probably of the hair follicle. It might have got infected because of scratching. Please do not scratch any more.
It is very small in size and will heal if you apply Neosporin ointment over it 2 - 3 times a day. Please do not worry about it growing into a mass. It is not extending in to the abdomen and is restricted to the skin surface.
If it continues to increase in area with development of severe pain then you may consult a doctor who will give you oral antibiotics and pain killers.
Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.
