Hi

I understand your concern regarding your skin problem and I hope I am able to help you in the same .
I have seen the attached picture .
The skin lesion looks like a keloid although I must admit that the picture quality is not that great.
I would like you to click more close up pictures of the skin condition and upload them here on this page. You can also mail them at YYYY@YYYY with heading as ref to Dr Geetika Paul .
Also please tell if the lesion is raised as compared to the surrounding skin?
Are you applying anything over it?
Is the lesion increasing in size or is it static?
Do you remember having any injury or pimple like lesion over the affected area prior to development of this?

I am sure I will be able to help you more once you provide me the pictures and the above details .

Waiting for your response

Keloid chest

Detailed Answer:
Hi again

I have seen the attached pictures .
You seem to have developed a keloid. Now this type of lesion is very common over the breast region.
You need to apply a topical steroid cream like cortisone over the affected areas twice a day . You might have to apply it for three to weeks a
Continously . Take care to apply it only over the lesion and not the surrounding areas. This will help in preventing any itching and will also decrease the size of the lesion.
Sometimes application of topical steroids only helps. But in case the lesion tends to persist even after three weeks of application of this cream , then you might see a dermatologist who can give you an injection into the lesion to dissolve it.
Also I would like to tell you that it is a benign and harmless lesion which can also be left on its own if it is not very bothersome . But if there is a sudden increase in size or any associated pain, then treatment becomes necessary .
