Big red pimple under your armpit associated with pain is often folliculitis. It is nothing but infection of your hair follicle.
Here is how you should go about it
1. keep the area dry. Do not try handling it, it will make the inflammation worse
2. Do not apply any moisturizer or deo over the area
3. Tab Acetaminophen taken three times daily is adequate for the pain
4. I prescribe to my patients Tab Levocetrizine along with a course of antibiotic of amox with clavulanate for a period of 5 days.
