What Does A Red Spot On Upper Abdomen Indicate?

Post inflammatory hyperpigmentation;self subside
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome and thanks for posting your query to the forum.
I can understand your concern for dark spot on upper abdomen.
After reading your query and analyzing all the pictures I can make out that your condition is "Post inflammatory hyperpigmentation" also known as PIH.
To tell you simply:Our skin is a multilayered structure and it contains specific cells known as melanocytes. These melanocytes are superficially present in the upper skin known as epidermis. These melanocytes are the cells which regularly produces color/pigment known as melanin in the skin.
There is a tendency in ourselves to get higher activity of these mealnocytes after any minor friction or some times trivial injury. The particular area of skin first becomes red at the time of minor trauma or friction. It remains red for 48-72 hours and then becomes brownish due to over production of melanin in the skin. This pigmentation is known as "Post inflammatory hyper-pigmentation" or PIH.
Going by above part you can make out that you observed red area first which in my experience might had remained for 48-72 hours and then gradually replaced by brownish pigmentation in 7 days.
Thanks to you good resolution picture that we can see a dark brown area on one side and lighter area on the other side confirming a mild frictional cause to be most likely.
These type of redness as well as brownish spot never cause any problem as are of very trivial and simple nature so do not worry about anything serious about it.
The brownish pigmentation may get more darker or may become lighter as per its own activity status of melanocytes. SO do not get anxious if it gets more darker.
I generally do not prescribe anything specific in your kind of pigmentation as are of self limiting nature. If at all still you are anxious about pigmentation then certain skin lighting agents can be applied (but only after 14 days).
I Hope these information will relax your mind. I will be glad to answer any further queries.

Dear young fellow,
Thanks a lot for your so swift follow up!!!
There is nothing to be worried about even for a second. Just relax and take deep breath to exhale out all your anxiety and fear regarding the spot. It is a totally normal phenomenon which I see quite often and gets alright by itself. It may take its own time to get subsided so do not worry at all.
I hope you must be totally relaxed now. I will be glad to answer any further queries or if not then can close the discussion and kindly rate the answer.
