Question : I am a myeloma patient. Was first diagnosed in 2012. Now i have rib lesion on the ct scan and biopsy shows active plasma but bone marrow is normal. Relapse?

No it's not relapse but it's a bone metastasis.

So now its not multiple myeloma ? Treatment for this will be different than that of a relapse myeloma ?

Hi back,

From what you are describing, it is multiple myeloma. However, I need to have your tests reports to give the final conclusions.

MM passes through various stages. If Ct-scan showed rib lesions, they might be metastatic lesions. Can you please provide the ct-scan report and other tests you did recently?

The disease passes through the active and inactive stages.
