Question : HI, My 16 yr daughter had a small bruise above her right hip yesterday. This morning it is about 4" long and 2" wide...red and ugly. Follows an XXXXXXX shape. She did not bump into anything. She is in a tennis tournament and plays vigorous matches at the national level. She works out about 3 hours a day and plays tennis about 3 hours a day.she is also on an anti biotic for her skin (acne)...can't remember the name exactly...soldorol???

solodyn 55 mg for the past 6 months with no side affects

I have gone through your query and understand your concern. Based on the short duration of bruise and her vigorous physical activity schedule, it could be because of some minor unknown injury. This needs further observation before she is being subjected to blood test like Bleeding time, clotting time.
Is the bruise associated with pain or Itching?
Meanwhile, apply Ice fomentation along with Thrombophob ointment and vitamin C (tablet.limcee).
