Question : I am a 50yr old male. I just noticed a small lump in my armpit and it is not a pimple. I can't see it in the mirror. Should I be concerned?

Brief Answer:
lymph node should be observed

Detailed Answer:
Hi

There are probably two common reasons for a lump underarm. One is a lymph node and other is infection of root of the hair.

If it is very painful it is probably an infection of root of hair follicle. If it is lymph node then we need to examine for other such lumps as well. The other reasons for inflamed lymph node. If it is less painful keep observing its size, number of lumps under both arms.

All in all it requires a good physical exam to say if it concerning or not.
