What Does Absence Of Bleeding Post MTP Kit Intake Indicate?
Question: Hi,
My periods came on 28th oct last month.i had done unprotected sex with my husband around my ovulation.now I got to know 3 days prior to my due date this month that I m pregnant. I took MTP kit according to the instructions. 1 tab orally and 4 tab vaginally.but no bleed came even after 16hrs.
Ultrasound reports says that it's a uterine pregnancy of 4 weeks.
Why my bleeding has not started yet ?? I had only cramps but no bleeding at all.
Pls guide what to do ? I m so worried.i m 40 yrs old.

You mean....I don't need to repeat mifepristone and misoprostal again ???? R u sure that the bleeding will start by its own and I don't need to repeat the medicine ???? If I have to repeat the medicine than when possibly I can repeat it ????

Mifepristone is a toxic medicine that is associated with many side effects like heavy bleeding, crams, irregular periods, etc. Its effects can persist upto 6 weeks. Due to serious and common side effects, it is not advisable to repeat the medicine immediately. You should wait for at least 7 days for bleeding and in case there is no bleeding then consult a gynecologist and repeat the medicine only under her supervision.

As I was telling you above that I took MTP kit after 2days of due periods date and I took it according to the instructions but till last night even after more than 24hrs...there was no sign of bleeding....I had only cramps and even that was disappeared till yesterday evening.
Now I just noticed that there was little amount of red blood on the wipe....but it was small amount of blood.
Do u think....that I started the procedure of abortion???? Now I will bleed in good amount ????? Or you think I need some medication ???? Pls guide.
