Question : My doctor told me that my Absolute lymphocytes is 4800, she asked me to see a Hematology doctor, really i am scared, i have a bladder infection by the way.
Brief Answer:
this may be normal
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query. I understand your concerns.
A lymphocyte count of 5000 or more is considered abnormal. So 4800 is close but not technically abnormal.
And this can be because of infection as well. We need to check the blood smear to rule out any abnormal cells and follow up with another blood count after 3-4 weeks. If it is rising, then only further investigations required.
Most likely this will come down.
Hope this helps. I will be available for follow up.
