What Does An Enlarged Vein In Eyes Indicate?

default
Posted on Thu, 4 Dec 2014
Question: i discovered a slightly enlarged vein in one of my eyes. Now I use some preservative free drops for environmentally triggered dry eyes but I have since moved out of london - this vein coincided with a period of extremely high stress for me so I want to know what I can do to get rid of it or whether there is a chance it will calm down on its own / how i can help that process

Brief Answer:
It will resolve on its own

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX

I am Dr.Senduran,General physician answering your query..

Enlarged can occur in individuals commonly who are devoid of good sleep, not hydrating themselves properly and experiencing stress issues etc.

This is usually transient and would resolve on its own.Have good sleep, drink plenty of oral fluids, relax yourself and your eyes too, avoid alcohol if you do...

There is no need for administration of various artificial tear drops too.Use any one agent for dry eyes..

Hope I have answered your query. If any further counts, happy to answer you.

Take care and wish you good health

Regards.
