Question : If a scrape procedure is done on a suspicious mole and lab results come back severe with abnormal cells but not a melanoma....does this mean another surgery must be done with a wider margin of tissue removed?

Detailed Answer: Hi, Welcome to health Care Magic, If Biopsy of a suspicious mole is showing Abnormal cells, it means it is precancerous stage of Melanoma. it is very easy to cure by surgical Excision with a wide margin of healthy cells.
