What Does Blood In Vomit Indicate?

Question: hi this morning i consumed lot of water after 5 munits i vomited, and there has being lot blood mixed with the vomits, what does that afect my health

Thanks for posting your query.

It is understandable that you had vomiting after drinking too much of water but having blood in vomit is not normal.

At times some trickle or small amount is expected when vomiting is severe but more then that is not normal and needs proper evaluation and treatment.

Please visit your doctor and get yourself examined for this.

The reason for blood in vomiting could be many like:

Ulcer in stomach or else where
Swelling in lower part of food pipe due to any cause
some drugs
Some other problem which can lead to some swelling in G.I.tract.

Please do not ignore and visit your doctor.
