Question : Hi I went to the doctor 2 days ago because I had some pink spotting. I also had frequent urination with some burning and itching. He did a urinalysis but the UTI test came back positive for red blood cells but no white blood cells.
He thinks it might be some type of vaginal infection. He put me on pyredium twicea day, keflex twice a day and vaginal Metrogel that I should use twice a day.
I starting taking all the medications Wednesday evening and by yesterday morning, there was no more blood.
However, since last night, I have noticed some dark brown flecks whenever I wipe my vagina after urination. This morning the flecks were much less. Could it be the Pyrideum is staining the Metrogel? Seeing these little brown flecks got me scared.

do not need to worry
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
The brown specks are just evidence of some bleeding. You were having something that was bleeding, whether it was from a kidney stone or vaginal infection is not clear to me, but in any case it will just take some time for the tissues to heal up.
If your symptoms are better just keep taking the antibiotics and drinking plenty of water and the brown specks should go away in 1-2 weeks but they are nothing to worry about.
I wish you the best
