Question : Hi I had stye on upper and lower eyelids 2 months ago and its healed later. But I still have a bulge in that area. It doesn't pain or doesn't look like a swell. If I rub that area, I feel the bulginess and feel like its filled with something like a puss. Can u please advice on how to proceed. Attached the photos

Brief Answer:
It requires treatment by antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs.
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to Health care Magic.
I am Dr. Dadapeer K, an ophthalmologist and I will be answering your question.
I reviewed your history and the photos attached with the question.
The photos show hordeolum with inflammation.
This still requires treatment. I treat conditions like this by use of oral anti-inflammatory drugs like Diclofenac and antibiotic eye ointment along with warm compression.
This will resolve with treatment, hence I advice you to continue this treatment.
Hope this is helpful to you.
Do write back to me for further questions.
Thank you

Hi Dr.Dadapeer,
You have assisted me when I had stye too. Here, I got a doubt when u mentioned that its inflammation. I don't feel any pain even when I touch that part now. Is it still considered as inflammation?
Also can I proceed with using your prescription and start treatment immediately?
thanks

Brief Answer:
Yes you need to start treatment.
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thank you for the follow up question.
Yes I remember and I reviewed that question also. The photos which you have attached now show redness of the skin over the swelling and this indicates inflammation.
These hordeolums will respond to treatment by the use of antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs.
The swelling in the lower eye lid is looking like chronic inflammation indicating a chalazion which may require incision and curettage if it does not respond to treatment by drugs.
But it is worth trying medical treatment with antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs. Hence I advice you to continue medical treatment and warm compression.
Do get back to me for further questions.
