Question : It am leaking an almost clear mucus from my anus. I have pain in the center of my lower abdomen and a feeling of pressure like I have to go and that is what comes out. It is wet so I am using protection for my clothes. I had a uti for the first time last month .. I have a hard time with allergies to antibiotics and I had this happen with an antibiotic. Should I see a Gastroenterologist or my PC?

To recapitulate: Female / 73 - taking Atenolol 50 - Imodium - leaking clear mucus from anus - pain in he center of lower abdomen - feeling pressure - it is wet so have to use protection - UTI last month - Allergic to Amoxicillin and Septran - caused this mucus problem (?) -

You may please see a Gastroenterologist as you may need a colonoscopy and other investigations. There has to be a reason as you have pain in the center of lower abdomen, pressure like have to go and leakage of mucus. Hence the colonoscopy is a must along with other tests.
