Question: I have not had my period in over 3 months. What could be happening to me. Please advise

At the age of 45, not having periods for last 3 months can be due to menopause. You can also rule out pregnancy by a urine pregnancy test if you are sexually active. The other reasons of delayed periods may be hormonal imbalance, emotional upset, anxiety, stress, or other medical conditions that affect the ovaries, uterus, hypothalamus, or pituitary gland. Hypothyroidism, post pill amennorhea , polycystic ovarian syndrome or less frequently a pituitary tumor causing high prolactin levels or a hypothalamic disease are other causes that may be the cause of delayed periods.
Please visit your gynecologist to undergo physical check up and also to undergo relevant investigations required in your case to find out the cause so that treatment can be given accordingly.

I had a fibroid removed 6 yrs ago, now I did an hsg test and it shows I had a blockage in my fallopian tube, I was referred to do a tubal cannulation but my circle has stopped. What can I do? Will I be able to menstruate again? At my age with fewer follicles, what are the chances of getting pregnant? Can my follicles be stimulate in other to be pregnant? What other medications can I use in other to be pregnant. Thanks

Pregnancy is difficult to happen with few follicles.

Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
Since your periods have stopped you need all the hormonal tests to find out the cause. In case it is due to menopause and the number of follicles have decreased then conception is not possible. It is best to consult an infertility specialist as soon as possible for a detailed analysis. There is no use of any self medication. Proper diagnosis is necessary before the beginning of treatment.
The follicles cannot be stimulated again for pregnancy.
