Brief Answer:
Increased diastolic pressure, measure bp for 1 week, pass records to doctor..

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I understand your concern.

1. A bp of 147/84 is withing the acceptable range for a person suffering of hypertension as you are.

Please take note that bp can be oscillate during the day: can increase or reduced according to many factors (e.g. emotions, stress, working, sleeping, resting, etc.).

There are 2 components in a bp reading:
- systolic pressure: 147 (the highest figure you get when you measure your bp); it will show the efficacy of heart to pump the blood into the main bloodstream to provide the necessary blood all over our body
- diastolic pressure: 84 (the lowest figure you get); it will indicate the efficacy of the heart to get blood inside its blood vessels. The highest, the more difficult for heart to get blood, the more difficult to function properly leading to heart problems.

2. Bystolic contain a medication called Nebivolol which falls into the beta-blocker drug group. It is not the same as Azor; because Azor is a combination pill containing Amlodipine (calcium-channel blocker) and Olmesartan (angiotensin-receptor blocker).

Bystolic is used to stabilize heart rate while Azor is used to reduce bp.

I advise to measure your bp for at least 1 week, record the results to show to your physician. Meanwhile, if bp will result higher than 150/90, then, should take 1 table of Azor in the morning; while continue taking Bystolic at bedtime as prescribed by your doctor.

After 1 week of measuring your bp, schedule an appointment with your doctor or call his office and tell about your bp readings, and about my advice to continue taking Azor.

Hope it was of help!
