Brief Answer:
Detail Follows.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome To HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney.
I understand your concern.
It means his Ejection Fraction is 40% only. And yes that is low.
Since he had two heart attacks earlier this ejection fraction is expected.
He must be taking Anti platelet drugs like Aspirin and Clopidrigrel. Also must be taking cholestrol medicine like Atorvastatin.
These 3 medicines are must.
To prevent heart from further damage he should do regular walking and exercises.
Also drugs like Metoprolol, Ramipril, Frusemide are used according to BP status , Kidney Function test , and symptomatology.
This is the best option for him. Nothing can be done to Revert the damage that is already there.
If you have any further query please ask me.
