Brief Answer:
less likely to be cancer

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for writing to .

I read your query and understand your conern.

It is less likely to be a cancer because cancer associated with hypothyroidism and elevated thyroid antibodies is very rare presentation. It favors more of autoimmune disease rather then cancer.

You should consult your doctor and start treatment for hypothroidism which is thyroxine supplement depending on your weight .

But cancer can't be ruled out only by history. Points which favor cancer diagnosis are
-your age
-small size of nodule. Even 1cm or less then that could be a cancer .

points against cancer diagnosis are
-you are female
-associated hypothroidism
-associated elevated antibodies.

I would suggest you to get needle biopsy (FNAC) done under guidance of your doctor to come to a proper diagnosis and to rule out cancer. After pathological diagnosis treatment can be initiated.

Hope I have answered your query . If any further queries are there I would love to help.
