Detailed Answer:
Hi
I am Dr Mittal.
I have read your message.
I think I can help you.
The fact remains that your fasting sugars are above accepted norms.
So you are at risk.
Your post prandial sugars are relatively fine.
In this, I hope you were absolutely fasting when the sample was drawn.
Also, I hope you had your breakfast and sugars were tested after 2 hours, with no exercise.
If any of the above conditions is not fulfilled, the test is inaccurate, and I would like to know.
Further, I would suggest controlling your diet, and loosing your weight. A moderate exercise regime will support the plan.
Keep watch on sugars regularly (every 6 months test FBS, PPBS and HbA1C).
Once the sugars rise, you may need medicines.
But I think a trial with non medicine methods should be tried.
Avoid sugary foods, beverages, oils, non veg , rice, potato and fast food.
Then repeat the tests in 3 months time.
Do let me know if you would like a clarification on any point.
Best of luck, Dr Mittal
