What Does Frequent Urination In An Elderly Person Indicate?

most common cause in increased size of the prostate
Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic
The most common reason for increased frequency is enlargement of the prostate. This can be due to benign (non cancerous ) or cancerous reasons.
In many cases, it is due to non cancerous causes but to determine this you would need to be assessed by your doctor.
This assessment would include a physical examination and a PSA blood test. In some cases an ultrasound to take a look at the prostate may also be needed as well.
There are other causes as well such as infection, side effect of medication, diabetes mellitus (high blood sugar) , diabetes insipidus (the hormone that helps keep in fluid is not working or there is not enough of it).
Your doctor may also rule out some or all of these if the PSA is normal.
In terms of natural supplements, you would first have to determine the reason for the increased frequency then find supplements, if available for that specific cause.
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions

urine appearance alone is not enough unfortunately
Detailed Answer:
HI
Unfortunately the color of the urine on its own does not provide much information.
With infection the color of urine can sometimes change but this may not always occur.
If the prostate is infected or inflamed, blood can sometimes be seen which would change urine color but blood can occur with infections of any area of the urinary tract.
Dilute urine can occur with diabetes insipidus so it may look paler than usual but this would need to be confirmed with urine tests and blood tests
