Question : I had an ultrasound bc my hcg came back 8.I am 55 post meno. Repeat hcg normal.
TVUS was normal except small amt of fluid in pelvis. What could cause fluid?

Pelvic inflammatory disease (PID): An infection of the female reproductive organs can lead to the presence of fluid.if you have no symptoms, then do follow up ultrasound after 2 months.
It could also be physiological, means normal, if no symptoms.
