Question : I accidentally missed three birth control pills in a row, and am now having the heaviest bleeding I've had in almost three years. I missed the pills during my second week. Should I be worried, or is this somewhat normal? Also, I presume I probably won't get my period next Sunday?

The bleeding that you are having now is the withdrawal bleeding due to missing of pills. If you have resumed taking the pills then the bleeding will stop in next few days.
You may have a lighter period on your scheduled time. This withdrawal bleeding is not a substitute of a normal period.
