Brief Answer:
Probably Plan B is the cause.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to HCM.
I understand your concerns.

PID or Sexually transmitted diseases does not present as heavy bleeding.
The more common symptoms in these cases is abdominal pain or foul smelling discharge.

Plan B can be a cause for your problem. Due to high content of hormones, it can sometime cause heavy bleeding. When did you take plan B?
Since when are you bleeding?

Otherwise, in cases of heavy bleeding, we usually proceed by ordering certain tests like abdominal ultrasound, thyroid status examination, pelvic examination to determine the cause.

It would be great if you can visit your local gynecologist for pelvic examination and these tests.

If the bleeding is heavy, drugs like Tranexa-MF (prescription drug) can help to control the bleeding.

Hope this helps.

Take care.
Thanks.

Brief Answer:
probably due to Plan B

Detailed Answer:
Hi again.
Sorry for late response.

Most probably the bleeding is the side effect of Plan B.

It can cause irregularities of period.
Your menses will regularise in 2-3 cycles.

Please avoid Plan B in future.
Its better to use other contraception methods like condom.

Do not worry. Drink plenty of water. Eat green vegetables
If there is heavy bleeding, then you must consult your Gynecologist.

Hope this helps.
Take care.
