No. I didn't mean LDL. It was AS I said: WED, JUN 11, 2014 which stands for Lactade Dehydrogenase. You're speaking to an intelligent woman with a PhD so pls reply accordingly. All other numbers are good other than:
Epstein-Barr VCA AS IGM <0.91
Epstein-Barr VCA AS IGG. 3.94 H
EBV Nuclear AG (EBNA) (IGG) >5.00 H

Immunoglobulins G Qn, Serum 561 L

My scanner is broken so I can't upload report as of now.

Thanks

Brief Answer:
You need proper clinical exam & investigations.

Detailed Answer:
Hello DRSARNA
Thanks for writing back

Sorry for the confusion.Conventionally, we mention Lactate Dehydrogenase as LDH.
Any way,things are clear now.

LDH is an enzyme found in the cells of many body tissues including heart, liver, kidneys, skeletal muscle, brain, red blood cells and lungs. So,elevated LDH need proper clinical assessment.Important thing is to diagnose the underlying cause and treat it.

Some of the probable causes are already excluded in your case.
Other causes will be clear after full investigations.

As you also have pain abdomen,Ultrasound of abdomen is important for screening abdominal organs.LDH increases in liver disease.

You need investigations like routine hemogram,Random blood sugar,Lipid profile,Liver function test,Renal function test,Thyroid profile.

Fatigue and enlarged lymph node are due to Epstein-Barr virus infection. You need symptomatic treatment only.

Get well soon.
Hope i have answered your query.

Thanks for your reply. The doctor said that since the epstein bar IGM was ok that it means I don't have the infection now but that I have the antibodies because of the H IGG. I don't ever remember having Mono or symptoms of it. Is it possible that I had the active mono a couple of months ago athe first time nd that now it doesn't show an active infection but only antibodies? Also I had an abdominal US which showed a fatty liver. GI doc said it's nothing. I never smoked and I never drink. I don't even drink wine. No alcohol ever! They also did an abdominal/pelvis CT scan with contrast and said it was ok. GI doc gave me bentyl. I took a few caps. Didn't feel any difference. I have distinct pain in the spleen area and since the spleen is part of the limphatic system I'm concerned it may be some type of lymphoma? I'd like to check B-cells, t-cells. How can I investigate it? Pls be open with me. I'd like to get to the bottom of it asap, so I'd like to know what kind of Doctor to go to? Hematologist? Immunologist? Someone who specializes in lymphoma? The doc said liver function was ok. Blood count was ok also. I need some direction. Thanks in advance for your reply.

Hello XXXXXXX
Thanks for writing back

Yes,you had past exposure to Epstein bar virus because IgG is increased and it indicates past infection.

Fatty liver is a reversible state. It may be due to obesity, dyslipidemia etc.
You should avoid saturated fat.It is good that you don't take alcohol.

I don't think you have any major problem like lymphoma. It is because CT scan of abdomen has been done and if there had been any signs of lymphoma( like enlarged lymph node, organomegaly etc),it must had been detected.

There are many things that indicate lymphoma. In this disease there is pain less enlargement of lymph nodes, alteration in blood pictures, enlarged liver and spleen. You don't have any supporting things to indicate lymphoma.

I suggest you to consider general causes like acidity for pain in upper abdomen.
You can consult gastroenterologist.

It is important to examine you head and neck region.Probably enlarged lymph nodes are due to infection in head and neck and you may need antibiotics.

Hope i have answered your query.
