What Does Higher NT Measurements In An Ultrasound Indicate?

default
Posted on Thu, 15 May 2014
Question: I've received my 12 week scans but are yet to see a doctor (it's holidays and the wait is driving me crazy). My ultrasound pictures show hc/ac=1.2, fl/bpd=32%, fl/ac=10%, lmp percentile=10%. It also appears like the NT measurement is somewhere between 7-8mm but I'm I'm hoping I'm looking at the wrong (but unfortunately don't think I am). Please help me interpret this data, I'm going insane having to wait so long to see a doctor. I'm a healthy 31yo with no family history of note

Brief Answer:
PLEASE UPLOAD REPORT.

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
Can you please upload the ultrasound scan report , I am just able to see a single image, and it is difficult to comment based on that image.
Awaiting the printed report of your scan, so that I can guide you better.
Take care, and RELAX !!

Hi, I've uploaded some more images - does this give you what you need? I know they're not the best quality so if you need something better I'll do my best!

I'm trying to relax but from what I can see the NT measurement is abnormally large and I believe the fl/ac ratio is low? Also, some of the pictures are labelled as 'Choroids' - I'm not sure if this is referencing a Choroid cyst or these are just standard photos. Finding it very hard to relax so any information will help me feel a bit more in control I think...

Brief Answer:
I NEED THE REPORT, NOT IMAGES.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Yes, from what I can see too, the NT measurements are higher than average, and I can see a couple of other disturbing things too.
I hope you realize that if I had scanned you, I would have been surer of the diagnosis, these are just few stills from the whole scanning.
THe most important part is not yet uploaded - the printed report of the scan, am sure you must have it in hand.
I would urge you not to send me any more photos ( images ), but the report in writing.
I will then come back to you with a more definitive picture.
