Get estimation of blood hormones levels estimation
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXX,
Thanks for your query.
Weight gain along with menstrual problems indicate that you might be suffering from either, under-active thyroid, female hormonal imbalance or, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS).
So, you need to undergo estimation of Thyroid hormone, Estrogen, Progesterone, Prolactin and Testosterone levels; and, ultrasound of the uterus and ovaries to see for bumps in the ovaries.
Correction of the deficient hormone (if any) will restore your weight, periods and then, you will be able to get pregnant after marriage.
Consult your doctor and apprise him of my opinion. I am certain that he will agree with me; order required tests, and- based on the reports- will arrive at a certain diagnosis and prescribe suitable treatment as advised.
Hope I have addressed your concerns to your complete satisfaction and you find my response helpful and informative. I will be happy to answer further queries, if any.
Take care,
Col (Dr.) Rakesh Karanwal
