He has never had this problem before. The pain started Monday evening, that was the worst it was. It gets better each day but comes and goes. His highest temperature was 99.4. That was Monday evening/Tuesday morning and then it has only been 98.4 every other time that I have checked it. His stools are a little hard but not pooping like he usually does. No vomitting, but said he was sick to his stomach Monday evening. His urine looks normal when he pees. The pain is below his belly button and sometimes all the way across his belly he feels the pain. The pain is mostly first thing in the morning, goes away late morning/early afternoon, and comes back early evening and he can go to sleep late evening because the pain is not there.

Brief Answer:
Investigations would help to pinpoint the cause

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your feedback.
Noted the history well.
The pain as explained by you can be due to one of the following reasons:
Appendicitis.
Meckel's diverticulitis.
Mesenteric lymph nodes, also said to be abdominal tonsils.
Worm infestation.
Any other inflammatory pathology.
This can be diagnosed by the following ways:
Tests of blood, urine and stool.
High resolution Ultrasonography of abdomen or still better would be CT scan of abdomen.
Clinical evaluation, preferably by a General/Pediatric Surgeon.

All these will help to get an exact diagnosis and thus guide the definitive treatment also.
Till then give him an anti-inflammatory with painkiller properties or antispasmodic whichever suits him and is more effective.

I hope this answer help you.
Feel free to ask for further relevant queries if you feel that there is a gap of communication.
And please give feedback once the investigations are done.
It is more than few days hence better to get investigated.

With Regards.
Dr T Chandrakant.
