Question : Hello, I had an unprotected oral sexual encounter and protected vaginal sex encounter over 1 year ago. I fear i have contracted genital herpes from that encounter 1 year ago.
I had bad symtoms a week or so after the encounter and havent been able diagnose my problems. I had the following a week after exposure:
- Itchy dark lesion on penile shaft. Lasted for several weeks. Did not blister or ulcer. But has returned 2 times in 1 year.
-Night sweats after exposure/Muscle Twitches/lower back ache, and inner mouth sores I presume are just canker sores.
Now i have the attached lesion. This lesion forms above my anus in between the buttocks cheeks. It has occured for the third time ALWAYS in the same spot. The same spot is what concerns me as herpes acts this way to my knowledge.
Please review my photos. Based on presentation and your expeience, is this lesion herpes? I popped it and it released blood and liquid and is already fading away within 24 hours. It does not itch and is slightly tender to touch. It is open since i squeezed it for this photo.
I am awaiting a viral swab culture result on this and i have also tested 10 TIMES for HSV 1 and HSV 2 antibodies via IGM and IGG. All 10 blood tests taken from 2 weeks from exposure through 1 year has been negative. Always negative for herpes.
Are the HERPES BLOOD TESTS accurate? If this is herpes, why are all my blood tests negative 1 year from exposure? My body should have developed antibodies by now assuming im infected correct?
Please helpe diagnose what this is. Why does it reoccur in the same spot? Is it herpes?

If i did not provide you my blood test results, would you believe this was herpes based on my photos and visual presentation of the lesion?
My fear is telling doctors about my blood tests before examination which alters there thinking before examining the lesion because they trust herpes blood tests, which are proven to be only 92% accurate or so.. The IGM accuracy is borderline completely inaccurate, which most doctors do not use anymore, but igg. Even factoring the mutliple tests i have taken and the begative, please provide your input based on the attached photos and the lesion itself.
Please anwer the above and why does the lesion occur every so often in the exact spot? It feels like a pea sized tender bump every time and occurs, again, in same exact area. Doesnt herpes act this way?
What other condition (if any that you mentione) can cause such an issue repeatedly and in the same area like this if not herpes?
Please kindly answer my above questions. Thank you greatly.d

                                    Brief Answer:
Not herpes.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for follow up query.
I have gone through the photos without the reports in mind. The lesions do not appear like herpes.
There is erosion of skin as in irritant dermatitis or intertrigo.
Repeated itching or friction is probably causing a folliculitis or secondary infection.
The site is prone for both due to continuous friction and irritation in the area.So there is always chance of recurrence.
The hsv antibodies test IGG is more reliable than IGM which is found only when acute phase.
You can allay fears of herpes in this lesion.
You can get back for any clarification.
Thank you
