Brief Answer:
Can wait for one week after completion of hormone treatment.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for posting your query.

When hormone treatment is used to induce a period, withdrawal bleeding may be seen usually 3-7 days after completion of the treatment, sometimes even at ten days. So, if that period of time has not elapsed, you can wait.

The fact that you are on so many medications and under treatment can affect your hormone balance and may have resulted in the PCOD. PCOD or polycystic ovarian disease is the commonest cause of hormone imbalance, irregular periods and infertility in the reproductive age group.

Diagnosis of PCOD can be made through clinical evaluation, investigations and sonogram. Several treatment modalities are available and the outcome is usually good.

Hope your query has been answered. Please feel free to contact for further clarification. I will be happy to help.

regards,
Shanti.V.

Brief Answer:
Can wait up to one week for a period.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing back.

PCOD is a symptom complex wherein the ovaries fail to ovulate regularly and develop several follicles at the same time in a cycle most of them immature. There is an associated weight gain, abnormal hair growth, irregular menstruation, infertility, glucose intolerance at times etc.

Joint pains and backache are not associated with this condition.

Since you have taken the course of Meprate for a longer time than prescribed, you have to wait for a week to see your induced period.

Please continue with the treatment for conjunctivitis. See that the baby is not exposed to infection. Maintain hygiene while handling the baby. Wash your garments separately.

Hope this helps.

regards,
Shanti.V.
