Brief Answer:
Wait seroquel will work probably, lithium or lamotrigine may help

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing to us.

I can understand your concern for your daughter.

From your history it seems that she is at present going through phase of depression. If diagnosis of bipolar disorder is confirmed this is bipolar depression.

In bipolar depression seroquel is useful drug. However 50 mg dose would not be sufficient. I think her doctor will surely increase the dose later on. And I am hoping that within 15 days some improvement should be there.

However if I were her treating doctor I would go for lithium or lamotrigine for treatment of her depression.

Please wait that seroquel will work or not otherwise discuss the above options with her doctor and change accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query, I will be happy to help further.

Regards,
Dr.Chintan Solanki.
