Question : On 1st September 2014 my father experienced spinning of head with multiple vomiting. On the suggestion of Doctor we had a CT scan of brain. Report reads as follows: "Lacunar infarcts in right capsuloganglonic & corona radiate regions". What does this mean and how serious is the trouble ? What should be correct course of treatment ?

Thank you for posting your query.

I have noted your father's symptoms and CT brain report.

It is suggestive of mild stroke which means reduced blood supply to brain. It is not serious and there is no need to worry.

He should take aspirin tablets. His BP, sugar and cholesterol if high should be kept under control.
