Question : My period was due yesterday/today and the only thing thats happened was I had light pink blood when I wiped after I pooped. Could I be pregnant? We are trying and had sex XXXXXXX 16th and my periods have been coming consistently the last 4 months at the same time. I came off my birth control back in March 2014.

I can understand your concern.

Yes, light pink discharge instead of period can be due to implantation bleeding and you may be pregnant.

But in my opinion you should go for a home urine pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy.

You should go for ultrasound pelvis to rule out ectopic pregnancy or early miscarriage if you have associated symptoms like abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting etc.

The discharge can also be due to hormonal imbalance and it can be starting of your period.

When would you suggest i take a home pregnancy test? How many days after if my period doesnt come?

Usually 7 days after your missed period.

Usually it is done 7 days after your missed period date.

But in your case you can do it now also.

But one important thing that if results are negative,than repeat test after one week.

And chances of ectopic pregnancy kept in mind.
