Question : My husband just helped a neighbor cut up a fallen tree about an hour ago. He is 54 and said he felt lightheaded when he came in. His pulse right now is 93. Is this cause for concern?

It is now down to 84.

Hello

After going through the medical details provided by you I understand your concern for your husbands wellbeing and I would like to tell you that ideally carotid should not be massaged without a cardiac monitor being attached and without medical supervision as it can cause a significant fall in heart rate.

His heart rate is fine just tell him to relax with his legs being very slightly raised on a pillow. Don worry he will be alright.
