Brief Answer:
Observe for the frequency and consistency of stool

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for the query

Green color stool in infancy is a common complaint of mother's. Drinking green juice usually by mother does not causes green color stool in a breast fed baby.
Sometimes baby passes green stool once or twice and then it subsides. But these green colored stools may be the early presentation of diarrhea also(usually viral).
I would suggest you to observe not only the color but consistency and frequency of stool also.Continue breast feeding.
I have one query
Have you started taking green juice recently or you are a regular consumer?

Now coming to cough.
I have few queries related to cough also
For how many days cough is there?
Is there any association between cough and feeding(as in case of reflux)?
Is the cough severe?

If cough is significant, she may need antiallergic and decongestant drops.

So,observe for the frequency and consistency of stool, continue breast feed.If there is increased frequency or stool is watery consult your pediatrician.
If cough is mild I won't be overly worried. But if cough is significant then get her clinically evaluated by your pediatrician.

I shall be glad to answer if you have any further query.
Regards

Brief Answer:
You can observe for stool but cough should be evaluated

Detailed Answer:
The common cause of loose stool in this age is viral infection. As there is associated cough this also favors the viral infection.
As she has passed loose stool twice only and there is no specific treatment for the diarrhea, you can wait for that. The main aim of management is to prevent dehydration by giving frequent breastfeeding and if need ORS.In case of loose stools mother should be watchful for frequency of urine, baby's oral acceptance and activity. In case of any abnormality baby should be evaluated by a pediatrician urgently.
But you have mentioned that the cough is severe. So in the present situation I would like to get her clinically evaluated by a pediatrician so that the severity of cough could be assessed and treatment should be given accordingly.

Brief Answer:
If cough is not severe you can observe

Detailed Answer:
Sorry for delayed reply
If cough is not severe (not causing sleep or feeding difficulty or not associated with fast breathing) you can observe the baby and wait.
Keep trying breast feed as this is the best.If breast milk production is not sufficient(not feeling fullness of breast, baby is crying even after feeding, urine output is less) then you can give formula feed.Don't feed through bottle as this may cause nipple confusion(confusion between your nipple and bottle nipple) and baby may bite your nipple.Use katori and spoon for feeding.Take all precaution regarding maintenance of hygiene.
If you have any more doubt I shall be happy to solve it out.If you don't have any query please close the discussion and rate it.
