Detailed Answer:
Hello

My name is Dr Muhammad Ali Rauf & i will look into your problem.

I have gone through your query and would try to help you in the best possible way. First and most important thing in diagnosing a disease is detailed & extensive history. Investigations that may help in reaching a diagnoses of memory loss includes:
- Vit B12 or B1 levels
- Thyroid function tests
- Psychiatric evaluation for depression
- EEG to rule out epilepsy
- CT/MRI head

Do consult a neurologist as the tests list is very extensive. These are the most common ones. A neurologist will decide after carefully examining the patient that which test should be done on priority.

Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help if not then don't forget to close the discussion and rate it.
Wishing you good health !!
