                                            Question : Hi, 
I am 34 year old female. I am pregnant with my 2nd kid (4 mnths preg). 
My vitamin D level has come out as 8 (severly low). 
Could you please suggest the implications and what should i do now?

Hi XXXX
The implications of low vitamin D would be bony abnormalities, congenital rickets, fractures in the newborn. 
Since you have a severely low Vitamin D, you need active treatment for the same at the dose of 4000 to 5000 IU/day initially for 3 to 4 months, followed by maintenance therapy of around 2000 IU/day. 
Please speak to your gynecologist about this at the earliest, and get treated accordingly.
