Question : Hi again Doctor: Just to update you I went and got my repeat mammogram due to microcalcifications. Was told that the calcifications are circledclustered around the nipple area approximately 7-8 calcifications. Want to do a biopsy of them. Told me they are extremely small less than 1mm. 80% benign and 20% cancerous. Do my chances look in my favor. If cancer, would this be early cancer?

Brief Answer:
Less Cancer Chances

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

The chances of cancer are very very less. They are most likely to be benign calcifications.

I suggest you be relaxed and get biopsy done. Even if it is a cancer, it would be very early and can be treated.

Regards
