The lung diseases affecting the lung function can be grouped in to two parts-
Obstructive like COPD, emphysema and asthma.
or Restrictive like Interstitial lung disease, pneumoconioses etc.
In restrictive lung problems the interstitial tissue of the lung the lung becomes fibrosed and becomes inelastic and the lung need more effort for moving.
These diseases are of progressive nature and must be managed by specialists after a proper assessment of the patients.
