Question: Diagnosed with mildly enlarged liver and slightly low density. What does this mean?

1. You are probably referring to your CT scan abdomen report findings. The liver is enlarged in size and having slightly low density. This means that you have a liver which is slightly larger than normal and probably there in increase in fat content. Therefore findings indicate an larger liver with increased fat. Please get blood test for liver function done and discuss with your doctor.

1. Many people with enlarged and mild fatty liver are healthy, especially in people who are over weight and have a large frame.

2. I hope your blood test including complete blood count, liver function test and lipid profile are normal. If lipid profile is not done then please have it done.

3. If you consume high amounts of alcohol and oily foods then please reduce it.
