Question : Sir pregnant women having minor bleeding can we use gestmate capsule.. Doctor has given that tablet.. It will control bleeding

Thanks for the query to HCM,

Yes , gestmate is progesterone and is safe in pregnancy and is pregnancy supportive.Any bleeding in pregnancy is termed as threatened miscarriage unless proven otherwise.So an urgent ultrasound pelvis would be necessary to rule out any retroplacental clot or placental separation first and then support should be offered with progesterones to support further placentation and help curtail bleeding.

If the bleeding is continuing then you are likely experiencing a miscarriage. All that can be done is to add progesterone support in form of oral and injectable form and absolute bed rest is advised till bleeding stops.
The transvaginal ultrasound would be necessary to establish foetal viability.

If you are in early first trimester then you have to be on iron supplements throughout pregnancy , with a daily dosage schedule.
